Abstract

1383091 Open-end spinner with false twister TORAY INDUSTRIES INC 13 March 1972 [12 March 1971 2 June 1971] 11553/72 Heading D1D An open-end spinning apparatus combines with a false twist device between the yarn outlet and the yarn take up means to increase the twisting density at the yarn formation zone. The distance between the yarn take up means and the area of engagement of the false twisting device being no more than the average fibre length. The false twist device may be a peripheral disc type Fig. 1 (not shown) a rubbing belt type Fig. 2 (not shown) or a friction tube type Figs. 3, 4 (not shown). In the friction tube type suitable friction surfaces are illustrated in Fig. 6. The false twist tube 29 may extend into the spinning chamber 4, Fig. 9 and an air jet device 40 may be ' provided for rethreading after an ends down, Fig. 10. As yarn leaves the spinning chamber it may be caused to vibrate by a suitably shaped delivery tube end as illustrated in Figs. 13 and 14 (not shown). Specification 1380392 is referred to.
