1382249 Hydropneumatic suspension units TOKICO Ltd 30 Dec 1971 [17 April 1971] 60878/71 Heading F2S In a hydropneumatic piston-cylinder suspension unit of the type having a liquid-containing cylinder and a hollow piston rod containing gas and liquid, liquid chamber C is in permanent communication with chamber B, and a non- return valve 418 on the piston rod permits flow from the liquid chamber A into the gas chamber D. Liquid chamber A is in permanent or valved communication with chamber B- either directly (as shown) or indirectly via chamber C. The unit may be combined with a helical spring (Figs. 3 and 4, not shown).
