Abstract

1382183 Web dispensers STERLING DRUG Inc 17 Nov 1972 53248/72 Addition to 1305928 Heading A4G [Also in Division B8] A dispenser comprises a closed container 56 having a wall slit 26 through which is extracted sheet-like absorbent material impregnated with liquid contained in inter-folded or randomly stuffed condition within the container, the slit having yielding edges tending to close and inhibit drying of material, the material being withdrawn in rope form due to the width of the slit being less than that of the material. The container may be rectangular with the lap-folded material horizontal or vertical, the slit varying in shape but preferably cruciform will short transverse slits on the cross arms. The slit may be formed in a removable resilient cap 28 which is overlaid by a removable cover sealed to the container and the cap may have a weakening to be formed into the slit by the user.
