Abstract

1382129 Photographic processing apparatus ITEK CORP 23 June 1972 [8 July 1971] 29464/72 Heading G2X [Also in Division B8] Fluid, e.g. a processing solution, is supplied to a machine 10, e.g. for photographic processing, in a container 18, and an access unit 28 is lowered on to the container neck, the unit having a passage 36 through which a tube 30 is lowered enabling the fluid to be pumped into the machine, e.g. into a processing tray, from which it may drain back into the container 18 via a drain 40. The container is carried on a slidable drawer 12 which may be extended after a vertically slidable door 22 is raised, an electrical switch causing the pump to be stopped and the tube 30 being lifted automatically with the door 22. A seal 34 shuts off the passage 36, and, as the door 22 is raised further, the unit 28 is lifted off the container neck, allowing the drawer 12 to be pulled out. The passage 36 is sealed at its upper end by a member 42 below an annular weight 44. As shown, two containers 28 holding different fluids are engaged by a pair of units 28.
