Abstract

1381986 Pitches WILLIAM ADAMS & CO Ltd 23 June 1972 [25 June 1971] 29627/72 Heading A6D [Also in Divisions El and F2] A deck suitable, e.g., as a support for a mat 14 to be used as a cricket pitch, is built up from decking members each comprising as shown in Fig. 1, a flat body on the lower surface 3 of which are integrally formed longitudinally extending legs 2 having feet 4, one leg being arranged approximately midway across the width of the body and the other being adjacent one longitudinal edge 5 which is formed as a tongue 7 having a top surface in line with the upper surface of the body and an arcuate lower surface, the tongue being adapted to mate with a channel 9 formed at the opposite longitudinal edge of an adjacent decking member, while the leg 2 adjacent the tongue 7 has one of its feet 6 extending under the tongue and provided with a support 10 for the channel 9.
