Abstract

1381941 Inking apparatus MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG-NURNBERG AG 16 Feb 1972 [4 March 1971] 7281/72 Heading B6C In an inking train of a rotary press the doctor or metering roller 3 has a co-operating screwadjusting doctor blade 4 which presents a convex surface in its wiping zone the position of the blade being adjustable to move the convex surface towards and away from the roller. The convex surface is so shaped that when the blade is positioned for ink flow control the convex surface of the blade and the peripheral surface of the roller define between them a gap which has converging and diverging inlet and outlet cross-sections respectively.
