Abstract

1381731 Easels; roll holders LEW-WAYS Ltd 21 Dec 1972 [9 Dec 1971] 57176/71 Headings A4G and A4H [Also in Division B6] An easel comprises supporting legs 18 pivoted in bearings 16 on the ends of the board 10, the legs 18 being maintained in the erect position as shown by a spindle 24 releasably mounted in brackets 22 on the legs 18, the spindle 24 carrying a roll 28g paper or the like so that an end portion thereof can be pulled over the front surface of the board and held there against by a pair of springy metal strips (32) each held to the board by a rolled end 34 and each providing a knife edge for severing the paper. When the spindle 24 is removed, the legs 18 can be folded flat against the rear surface of the board. The board may be supported on the legs 18 only at a shallow angle see Fig. 3 (not shown).
