Abstract

1378683 Moulding spectacle frames H L BOUTON CO Ltd Inc 16 Feb 1972 7251/72 Heading B5A [Also in Division G2] A spectacle temple is moulded in two steps. In the first (Fig. 4), a material 12 which is pliable and manually deformable at room temperature, e.g. P.V.C., is moulded about a wire 10 which is substantially rigid but manually bendable. In the second (Fig. 5), a second material 11 is moulded about the wire and the end of the first material. The second material is substantially rigid and not manually deformable at room, temperature. The first material may be formed with an enlarged end as at 22 to provide an interlocking connection. The two sections may also be solvent welded or chemically bonded together.
