Abstract

1377379 Deacylating cephalosporins TAKEDA YAKUHIN KOGYO KKC 21 Dec 1971 [25 Dec 1970] 59424/71 Heading C2C A method of producing 7-amino-3-methyl-3- 3 - cephem - 4 - carboxylic acid, or an ester thereof, comprises bringing a 7-acylamido-3- methyl-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid, or an ester thereof, the acyl portion of the 7-acylamido group being phenylacetyl or phenoxyacetyl, into contact with a culture broth of a microorganism, or enzyme-containing processed matter thereof, the microorganism belonging to one of the genera Arthrinium, Aspergillus, Aureobasidium, Anthracobia, Ascotricha, Acremonium, Actinomucor, Alternaria, Aegerita, Beauveria, Botryotinia, Byssochlamys, Botyrosphaeria, Corynespora, Cunninghamella, Cylindrocarpon, Cylindrocladium, Colletotrichum, Cylindrocephalum, Cercospora, Ceratocystis, Cephalosporium, Cladosporium, Coniochaeta, Chaetomium, Chrysosporium, Cephaloascus, Diaporthe, Daedaleopsis, Dactylaria, Emericellopsis, Fusarium, Griphosphaeria, Gibberella, Glomerella, Isaria, Microascus, Neurospora, Pestalotiopsis, Pyrenophora, Pseudoplea, Papularia, Pleospora, Pellicularia, Rosellinia, Septoria, Sclerotium, Sartorya, Trichometasphaeria, Taphrina, Talaromyces, Verticillium, Nocardia, Streptomyces, Escherichia, Bacillus, Xanthomonas, Pseudomonas, Protaminobacter, Mycoplana, Aeromonas, Acetobacter, Rhodotorula, Cryptococcus, Nadeonia, Saccharomycodes and Saccharomyces, and being capable of producing 7 - amino - 3 - methyl - 3 - cephem- 4-carboxylic acid, or its ester, from the 7-acylamido - 3 - methyl - 3 - cephem - 4 - carboxylic acid, or its ester, by the hydrolysis in an aqueous medium of the acid amide linkage alone in case of the 4-carboxylic acid, or by the hydrolysis in an aqueous medium of the acid amide linkage alone or the hydrolyses in an aqueous medium of both the acid amide linkage and the carboxylic acid ester linkage in the case of the 4-carboxylic acid ester.
