1375889 Automatic door closing device DORMA-BAUBESCHLAG GmbH & CO KG 14 Aug 1972 37866/72 Heading E2M An automatic door closing device includes a housing 10 of generally rectangular profile secured to the upper portion of a door or its associated door frame and a slidable cover plate 16 is engaged with the housing to cover substantially the whole of the exposed upright longitudinal surface of the housing. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2 the longitudinal edges of the cover plate are adapted to be engaged behind undercut ribs at the longitudinal edges of the housing surface. Alternatively, as shown in Fig. 3, the cover plate may include bevelled flanges at its longitudinal edges fitted into undercut grooves at the edges of the housing surface. The door closing device takes the form of a known kind having a longitudinal cylinder bore in which a piston of a hydraulic shock absorber and a spring operate, the bore being sealed by a plug 11. An adjusting screw 12 determines the degree of shock absorbing action.
