Abstract
1372296 Wettable TiO2 pigment BAYER AG 15 March 1972 [19 March 1971] 12044/72 Heading C1N [Also in Division C3] A wettable TiO2 pigment readily dispersable in PVC is prepared by grinding rutile clinker, precipitation from an aqueous suspension of TiO2 and Al2O3, washing and then drying at 140-170‹ C., spraying with 2,2-dimethyl-5- ethyl - 5 - hydroxymethyl - (1,3 - dioxa - 2 - silacyclohexane) and reduction to micron size in a jet mill with superheated steam.
