MACHINES CORP 31 Jan 1973 [3 March 1972] 4743/73 Heading F2G A rotary coupling is sealed by contact between annular lapped surfaces (5 and 7, Fig. 1, not shown) of two ceramic sealing elements 1 and 3. Housing 15, for compression spring 13, has tongue 23 engaged with a notch to prevent rotation of element 3. Tubes 9 and 11 may be cemented to the elements.
