Abstract
1370895 Foundry sand core for I.C. engine TOYODA JIDOSHOKKI SEISAKUSHO KK 7 Sept 1971 [7 Sept 1970] 41628/71 Heading B3F [Also in Division C3] A core 1 for forming the upper part of a crankcase and the piston bores in an I.C. engine monobloc is provided with auxiliary members 5a, 5b which form, when the core is used supports for a bearing intermediate the pistons. The core is formed by locating the auxiliary members in a heated core-box and blowing into the core-box resin/sand mixture (see Division C3) to form the core around the auxiliary members 5a, 5b. The core 1 has a runner 8.
