Abstract

1368913 Web hooping devices ALBERTFRANKENTHAL AG 25 Aug 1972 [15 Sept 1971] 39882/72 Heading B8R [Also in Division F4] A web 10 is guided in a loop 8 into an openended housing 2 by subjecting the inside of the loop to an air blast, e.g. from a flat nozzle 3. The side walls of the housing are adjustable for various web widths and endless belts 4, 5 may be provided along the walls of the housing. Photoelectric cells 7 may be used to control the feed speed of the web in accordance with loop length, the web being ejected intermittently from a printing press and delivered continuously to a further station 6. A suction roller 1 may be provided. The air blast may additionally be used to dry the web.
