Abstract

1368335 Roller-and-ring mills CARLE & MONTANARI SpA 22 Feb 1972 [4 Dec 1971] 8151/72 Addition to 1277166 Heading B2A A mill of the kind described in the Specification 1,277,166 comprises grinding rollers, each including a plurality of sharp edges on the cylindrical surface, the edges making at least two different angles with lines parallel to the roller axis and which intersect them. These are provided by projections from the surface or by the intersection of a groove or grooves or recesses with the cylindrical surface. Examples comprise a composite roller having sections with oppositely- or differently directed grooves, Figs. 1, 2, or with different surface patterns, e.g. holes, Fig. 5, lozenges, Fig 6, or studs. Fig. 8.
