Abstract

1367055 Mining installations PITCRAFT Ltd 27 Jan 1973 4285/73 Heading E1F A guide rod for mounting on an armoured face conveyer for guiding a mining machine along the conveyer comprises a bar 1 of square or rectangular cross section provided with a series of longitudinally spaced recesses 2 and square cut ends and a torque member and a fork member so welded to opposite ends of the bar that the torque and forked ends are all orientated either parallel to the central plane through the recesses in the bar or perpendicular to that plane. The rod is used in the guidance of a mining machine propelled as in the referred to Specification 1352543.
