Abstract

1367008 Bunch and waste winding BARMAG BARMER MASCHINENFABRIK AG 2 June 1972 [4 June 1971] 25789/72 Heading D1J Waste and reserve windings are formed by a rotatable guide 10 having axially spaced projections 11, 12 thereon arranged so that the yarn can slip past the projections when the guide has rotated to a position, Fig. 2, in which the projections are not in the path of the yarn. The winding machine includes a traversing guide 4 and an auxiliary guide 17. Whilst the yarn is prevented from slipping off the cylinder 10 a waste or reserve winding is formed. A reserve winding can be formed by a second set of projections on the cylinder arranged in the path of the yarn as it slips past the first set of projections.
