Abstract
1366331 Carbon dioxide as solvent NESTLE SA 16 Dec 1971 [23 Dec 1970 (2)] 58433/71 Heading B1Q [Also in Division A2] In the preparation of vegetable extracts, in particular coffee or tea, by extracting the volatile aromatic constituents with carbon dioxide, and extracting the soluble solid constituents with water, the extracted constituents being combined, the aromatics are recovered as a solution in liquid carbon dioxide, and the carbon dioxide is separated by distillation. The combination of the extracts may be effected either before or after either or both are dried.
