Abstract

1366261 Digital transmission NATIONAL CASH REGISTER CO 29 Jan 1973 [14 Feb 1972] 4385/73 Heading H4P A transmitter includes a transformer 11 having a rectangular hysterisis loop, switchable by binary signals between first and second remanence states and providing pulses to a line connected to a receiver, Fig. 2, having a transformer 22 the secondary winding of which is coupled to a bi-stable circuit 36, 37 switchable by line signals from one state to another. The receiver transformer impedance matches that of the line. Diodes 25, 26 alternately clamp one side of secondary winding 24 to bias level when the other side is triggering the bi-stable circuit; this controls transistors 36, 37 providing a bipolar output. The reciever transformer impedance matches that of the line.
