Abstract

1364023 Roller conveyers RAPISTAN Inc 26 July 1972 [30 July 1971] 34974/72 Heading B8A A conveyer is as described with reference to Figs. 1-8 and 10, 11 of Specification 1,364,022, but the claims are concerned with over-riding of the sensor-controlled valves to permit the drive to the conveyer to be activated. The over-ride comprises auxiliary valve means connected in parallel with the sensor-controlled valves 44. As shown, an auxiliary check valve 132 for each actuator tube 30 is controlled by a manually operated valve 131. To rapidly clear the conveyer, the valve 131 is opened and all zones of the conveyer are simultaneously driven. When the valves 44 operate normally and articles are conveyed without accumulating, a built-in time delay of the valves ensures that the drive by the belt (16), Figs. 1, 2 (not shown) is uninterrupted.
