Abstract

136,274. Oulianine, S. Dec. 13, 1918. Press-button fasteners ; stud-and-slot fastenings -A two-part fastening for wearing-apparel &c comprises a dished plate 1, Fig. 1, having a central aperture 3 with two elongations 4 to receive a stud 8, Fig. 5, provided with lugs 9. The stud is inserted in the socket, and the parts are locked by being given a quarter-turn relatively to each other. In a modification, Fig. 6, the socket contains a spring 13 which engages under shoulders 19 on the stud, Fig. 10, the parts being engaged by being pressed together and released by turning the stud to force the legs of the spring apart. In a further form, Fig. 13, the socket for engagement with the stud has a double keyhole slot 21 and a spring 22 disposed across the slot for retaining the stud in locked position. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 3336/01, 25215/02, 10144/07, 2724/08, 12410/13, and 24984/13.
