Abstract

1362405 Neckwear ABBEY INC 31 Aug 1972 [18 Oct 1971] 48382/71 Heading A3V A cravat comprises a neckband 12 having a front portion 12c and a neck-encircling portion 12a extending therefrom as a continuation of a curved edge 13 of the portion 12c, the neckband having complementary strips 14, 15 of filamentary hook and loop pile material for fastening the ends thereof together, and a bib 10 depending from the edge 13, the bib having a display side, and a wire side of different materials. The neckband may also have different materials for its display and reverse sides and in this way the reverse side facing the neck may be made of soft comfortable material and the face side of a desired patterned material. The reverse side material preferably has an interlining bonded thereto and two pleats 21 may be provided in the bib 10 with a pad (not shown) therebehind to hold the pleats. In use the bib is first folded over the neckband and the cravat is then fastened round the neck of the wearer.
