Abstract

1360090 Flame-proofed cellulose acetate BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK AG 17 Nov 1971 [18 Nov 1970] 53343/71 Heading C3F Flame-resistant fibres or filaments are made from a composition comprising cellulose acetate, having from 53 to 62À5% of chemically combined acetic acid, which is admixed with from 10 to 30% by weight, based on the cellulose acetate, of a fire-retardant compound or a mixture of such compounds. These compounds have the general formula [NP(OR)(OR<SP>1</SP>)] n where n is an integer from 3 to 7 and R and R<SP>1</SP> each denote an aliphatic or cycloaliphatic radical having 2 to 8 carbon atoms. These compounds are thought to be cyclic.
