Abstract

1359413 Cathode-ray tubes PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 5 Jan 1972 [8 Jan 1971] 508/72 Heading H1D An anti-implosion band is heated to 400- 450‹ C. and shrunk over a reinforced adhesive foil secured round theperiphery of the tube. The foil may be reinforced with glass or metal fabric or with perforated material or with wires; the adhesive may be of hardenable or non- hardenable material and may be a synthetic resin. The gap between the rear portions of the band and foil may but need not be filled with a filler material. The tube may be either a monochrome or a colour tube.
