Abstract
1358658 Vibratory bowl feeders ADVANCED AUTOMATED EQUIPMENT Ltd 10 Nov 1972 [12 Nov 1971] 52111/72 Heading B8A [Also in Division F2] A vibratory bowl feeder comprises a massive base 14 above which is supported a feeder bowl (12), Fig. 1 (not shown), on a bowl mounting plate 18 mounted on the base 14 by a circularly arranged set of springs 26. Each spring 26 is bolted to a mounting block 28 fixed to the base 14 and makes an angle (A), Fig. 3 (not shown), to the base 14. Each spring 26 is also inclined inwardly towards the region underlying the central part of the feeder bowl (12) by a secondary angle B. As the angle B is increased each leaf spring 26 is subjected to an increased degree of torsion. The arrangement is said to reduce or eliminate "dead spots" in the feeder bowl (12).
