Abstract

1358483 Licence holders D A WILKES & CO Ltd 2 April 1973 [7 April 1972] 16064/72 Heading B8F [Also in Division H4] A holder adapted for mounting on the window of a motor vehicle has two compartments, one for receiving a road tax disc or similar display, and the other containing a radio aerial of generally flat form. Connector means are provided on the outside of the aerial compartment. As described, a disc 13 of transparent plastics material has a slit 17 through which a road tax disc may be inserted. Smaller diameter discs 14, 15 of opaque plastics material are assembled above the disc 13, a flat spiral aerial 11 and a packing disc 20 of foamed plastics material being inserted therebetween. A press stud 18 is mounted on the outside surface of the disc 15, and one end of the aerial 11 is connected thereto. Finally, the discs 13, 14, 15 are welded together around a circle 16. When in position, substantially the whole front surface of the disc 13 contacts the windscreen of a motor vehicle. The aerial may alternatively be in the form of a piece of metal foil or wire mesh, and may be made by a printed circuit technique.
