Abstract

1358462 Two part couplings PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 10 Oct 1972 [13 Oct 1971] 46647/72 Heading H2E The rotor 2 of a current collector for a current rail 8 is surrounded by a cover 36, the rotor itself being shrouded by an insulating hood 18 having an operating member 24 projecting from a recess in the cover and also having a slot 25 through which the current lead emerges into the cover. The hood rotates the rotor through interengaging projections 19, 20. The cores of the current lead are connected to terminals 12 connected to contacts 6, which engage the conductors of the track. A separate earth connection 17 with terminal 15 is provided. The lead is trapped against flange 28 by a member, not shown, sliding in the slot 25.
