1357692 Fluid pressure brakes WABCO WESTINGHOUSE GmbH 17 Jan 1972 [27 Jan 1971] 2113/72 Heading F2F In a fluid pressure braking system in which an accumulator or reservoir 2 is charged by connection to a fluid pressure supply until a predetermined cut-off pressure is reached and the supply is then connected to a return duct until the pressure in the reservoir falls to a predetermined reconnection value, a pressure responsive valve assembly includes a pressure limiting valve 8, 8<SP>1</SP> fitted in a direct return path between supply pipe and return connections 1, 5, the valve having a closure member 10 with a smaller surface 8 responsive to the pressure in the supply pipe and a larger surface 11 selectively responsive to the pressure in the reservoir under the control of a valve combination included in an indirect return path between reservoir and return connection, the valve combination having a first member 15, responsive to the pressure in the reservoir and a second member 16, which opens and closes the indirect return path and is operatively connected to valve 15, 15<SP>1</SP> by way of a flow-restricting connection.
