Abstract

1353943 Releasable fastenings BUNKER RAMO CORP 8 June 1971 [30 Sept 1970] 19497/71 Heading E2A [Also in Division F2] A plunger 12a projecting from a housing 10 is withdrawn into the housing when heat-ignitable palladium-aluminium shear pins 20, 30 holding the plunger in its projecting position are burnt away by passing an electric current through attached heat-ignitable wires 22, 32. The collapse of the plunger allows a latch (62) to pivot and release a spring (58, Fig. 7 not shown but see Division F2).
