Abstract

1353679 Bearings; seals SKF KUGELLAGERFABRIKEN GmbH 15 Sept 1971 [29 Sept 1970] 42922/71 Headings F2A and F2B A radial rolling bearing assembly comprises two race members, one 4 having an annular radially-extending flange 5, the free peripheral edge of which engages an annular groove 6 in the periphery of a resilient disc seal 8. The rolling elements are spaced from the seal by either (i) an annular element 9 attached to the seal, or (ii) an annular element which abuts the inner surface of the flange, or (iii) an annular extension of the cage which abuts the inner surface of the flange.
