Abstract

1352902 Cable laying INDUSTRIELE ONDERNEMING WAVIN NV 19 July 1971 [25 July 1970] 33777/71 Heading H2C Cables 3 laid in a trench 2 are covered by a thin earth layer 5, a plastics cover-plate 6 and a fill-in of earth 8. The thickness of the earth layer 5 is only sufficient to provide a level base for the cover-plate, e.g. 1 to 2 ems. The plate may have longitudinal reinforcing ribs 7 or a cross-work of ribs 7, 7<SP>1</SP> (Fig. 2). The plate may be of thermoplastic material such as polyethylene or polyvinylchloride and may be reinforced with fibres. Dimensions of the plate are given in the Specification.
