Abstract

1352546 Shaft couplings T R EDNELL 4 June 1971 18974/71 Heading F2U An expandable shaft for gripping a bore (e.g. of a reel of paper or plastics sheet) comprises a rod 1, having first rhombic members 2, fixed to axially extending projection members 7, the members 2, being movable radially by a threaded 11 nut 10 and rhombic ramp guides 3 the members 27 and guides 3 being located in axially extending grooves in the rod 1. Relative movement may be limited by stops 15, 18.
