Abstract

1351613 Heating and ventilating motor vehicles BRITISH LEYLAND TRUCK & BUS DIVISION Ltd 24 May 1971 [26 Aug 1970] 40973/70 Heading F4V A motor vehicle heating and ventilating system comprises a fan and heat exchanger unit mounted on the vehicle roof at the rear thereof, a roof duct 2 through which air from the unit is delivered to an outlet 3 above the windscreen 4, and a manually operable flap 5 for controlling the air flow rate through the outlet 3. The flap 5 and its hinge 6 may be made of rubber. The flap is biased to its open or closed position and movable to the other position by a cam 8 or a rotatable member having an arm which bears against the flap 5.
