Abstract

1351536 Central heating systems P J MUNDAY 13 Dec 1972 [12 Jan 1972] 1457/72 Heading F4U [Also in Division F2] A plug 2, in which small bore radiator flow or return tubes 7 are fixed, is clamped against the rim 3 of a pipe fitting 1, by means of a nut 6. On tightening the nut, bevelled shoulders 4, 5 engage complementary bevels in the rim and the nut. In order to solder the tubes in the plug, they are passed completely through the bores therein and solder is applied to the face of the plug, which has capillary grooves interconnecting the bores.
