1351388 Razor blades F L GOLIGHTLY 22 April 1971 [22 Jan 1970] 36791/69 Heading B4B [Also in Division C7] A cutting edge is produced on a cutting blade blank formed of Al or Al alloy by cutting or forming a coarse cutting edge, e.g. by machining, grinding, broaching, rolling, pressing, extrusion or electrochemical means on the blank, anodizing, e.g. in a bath comprising sulphuric and/or oxalic acid or chromic acid to form a cutting edge of anodic aluminium oxide, and producing the final cutting edge within the oxide layer, e.g. by fine honing using diamond wheels. The cutting blade may be a razor blade or surgical knife.
