Abstract

1351240 Supply fittings IMI OPELLA Ltd 24 May 1972 [17 June 1971] 28468/71 Heading A4N [Also in Division F2] A mixer tap for hot and cold water having a basin outlet 8 and a shower outlet 9 with a fluid control mechanism 13 (see Specification 1351239) includes an operating slide 27 connected to the mechanism 13 by a rigid rod 20 extending through the outlet 8. A spring 38 urges the mechanism to the right. When the slide 27 is pulled forwardly of the outlet spout 6 the mechanism moves to the left and is held by fluidpressure. Closure of the mixing taps 2 causes the mechanism to return. A flexible member may replace the rigid rod 20 or the spring 28 may be omitted.
