1349989 Shaft couplings GELENKWELLENBAU GmbH 26 April 1971 [28 April 1970] 11298/71 Heading F2U In a splined shaft coupling (e.g. with Hookes joints and forming part of a vehicle transmission shaft) the internal splines of the outer member 4 are coated with plastics (e.g. nylon, which may subsequently be machined to size) and may be protected by an encircling sleeve 8 on the inner member 5 having at its end a seal 9 and scraper ring 10 slidably engaging the outer surface of the member 4, which surface may also be coated with a machined plastics coating.
