1349627 Open-end spinning DAIWA BOSEKI KK and TOYODA JIDOSHOKKI SEISAKUSHO KK 10 April 1972 [30 April 1971] 16511/72 Heading DID An open-end spinning rotor comprises a bottom wall 4 which bulges into the spinning chamber by an amount that gradually increases towards the axis of rotation of the chamber and which has a plurality of outwardly directed air exhaust passages 8. The bottom wall 4 can be conical. The air exhaust passages 8 can have an inlet in advance of the outlet with respect to the direction of rotation and may be curved and of non-circular cross-section. Dirt and short fibres may pass through the air exhaust passages 8.
