Abstract

1349114 Safety closure VCA CORP 6 March 1972 10397/72 Heading B8T A container closure device comprises: an inner internally threaded cap 14; and an outer rotatable cap 16, secured against axial separation from cap 14 by an annular shoulder 30, with a manually axially deflectable top 24 to releasably couple protuberances 32, 34 on the outer and inner caps. The protuberances 32, 34, Figs. 4 to 6 (not shown), have sloping ends 32a, 34a such that a greater axial deflection of the top 24 is necessary to unscrew the closure than is required to screw on the closure.
