1348637 Mounting plate for gas fire UNITED GAS INDUSTRIES Ltd 10 June 1971 [15 June 1970] 28831/70 Heading F4W A blanking plate for mounting a gas fire in an open fireplace has an opening 2 for the gas fire flue spigot, and a throat restrictor plate 3 formed integral with blanking plate and attached to it by at least one rupturable bridge member 4. By forming the throat restrictor in one piece with the aluminium or other metal blanking plate, its loss during transit is avoided, and since the opening for the flue spigot is of the shape of the spigot, an appropriate throat restrictor plate conforms to the shape of the opening.
