Abstract

1348383 Valves I V OMETER Inc 21 April 1971 [1 May 1970] 10370/71 Heading F2V [Also in Division G3] Flow controlling element 8, which is particularly suitable for use in an intravenous feeding apparatus requiring a constant through flow rate over prolonged periods of time, comprises a tubular rubber element 10 having a plurality of parallel, spaced and longitudinally extending passages 14 formed therein, and a manually adjustable clamping mechanism 16. The element is insertible into the ends of flow conduits 6. The clamping mechanism comprises a curved rear wall 18 which is glued or otherwise secured to the conduits 6, a pair of lateral wings 20, and a rotatable cam 24 which is mounted on the wings 20.
