Abstract

1348369 Bale grippers for tractors PATTERSONS VENTURE Ltd 19 April 1971 [16 March 1970 30 March 1971] 12611/70 and 8148/71 Heading B8H A bale gripper comprises a frame 12 which is adapted to be supported on tractor luffing arms, Fig. 4 (not shown) and which supports a rigid gripper arm 11 and a parallel gripper arm 21, the arm 21 being secured to a frame 22 which is pivotally connected to the upper part of the frame 12 about a longitudinally extending axis 23. The arm 21 is actuated by an hydraulic ram 25 and is formed with bale-engaging spikes 26. The arm 11 is provided with a lead-in fin 31. A ground-engaging roller may be provided on the frame 12 beneath the ram. The axis 23 may be located in different positions in accordance with the width of the bales to be handled.
