1346642 Hydrofoil craft C RODRIQUEZ [trading as CANTIERE NAVALE LEOPOLDO RODRIQUEZ] 19 April 1971 [26 May 1970 25 June 1970] 22705/71 Heading B7A A hydrofoil craft has a fore and an aft hydrofoil, which may both be of the V-shaped surface piercing type or one may be V-shaped and the other fully immersed, which are provided with control flaps 125 operated by a stabilizing mechanism including a gyroscopic sensor. The aft hydrofoil 123, 124 of Fig. 11 is V-shaped having two flaps 125 operated by linkages 129, 131, 130 by rams 128 under gyroscopic control. Various other configurations of foils and flaps are described, including the provision of flaps pivoted about vertical axes on the foil struts.
