Abstract

1346539 Food package U WAGNER 7 Aug 1972 [6 Aug 1971] 36710/72 Heading B8C The lid 11 of a lidded container 10 having a peripheral flange 12 with rounded corners is provided with a peripheral bead for engagement with the flange 12 and a tab 22 on at least one end of the lid 11 by means of which the lid can be detached from an end of the container and slid off the container along the flange 12 at the sides thereof. The base of the tab may extend partly or wholly over the rounded corners of the container. Grooves 29 formed transversely of the lid extend between notches 27 in the beading to facilitate removal of the end of the lid from the flange.
