Abstract

1345160 Positive clutches CHRYSLER (UK) Ltd 10 May 1971 [26 June 1970] 31240/70 Heading F2C To prevent disengagement of a gear shift sleeve (13) under load, the external teeth 12 of a clutch hub 10 on which the sleeve (13) slides are relieved at 17 to form shoulder 18 which act as stops preventing movement of the sleeve (13) under load. The reliefs on adjacent teeth extend from opposite ends of the hub and the reliefs are between 0À005 to 0À010 inches deep. The clutch mechanism may have synchronizing means.
