Abstract

1344783 Cleaning windows R G CARLSSON 10 July 1972 32115/72 Heading A4F Apparatus for washing at least one row of windows in a building or ship comprises at least one vertical rotary brush 3 mounted in a frame (4) Fig. 1, (not shown) supported by a rail 5 adapted to be secured to the side of a building or ship, and the apparatus is movable along the rail by wheels or rollers, at least one of which, the gear wheel 8 is driven by a motor 1. The gear wheel 8 engages a rack 6 carried by the rail 5. Nozzles (14), (15) Fig. 3, (not shown) carried by the frame 4 direct water jets on to the brush 3 which is rotated by a seperate motor (2), or alternatively by the motor 1. When the apparatus includes a plurality of brushes these may be driven by individual motors or by a common motor.
