Abstract

1344674 Anti-static brush and dust remover S W HOBDAY and C A GRIFFIN 11 Aug 1972 [2 Sept 1971] 41078/71 Heading G5R An anti-static brush 12 and a dust remover are mounted on a double beam 1 extending radially across a record turntable between an adjustable mounting base, including a base member 5, which is positioned adjacent the turntable and an adjustable centring pillar, including a bearing member 9 which fits over the centre spindle of the turntable. One arm of the beam carries the anti-static brush 12 which is formed of e.g. non-corrodable wires, tinsel or carbon fibres and discharges static on a record to earth via the arm and the centre spindle. The dust remover includes brush 16 and velvet pad 17 mounted on a U-shaped member 15 which slides on the outer arm of the beam when the brush tracks across a record.
