Abstract
1343297 Cable clip COAL INDUSTRY (PATENTS) Ltd 4 Feb 1972 [20 July 1971] 33926/71 Heading H2C [Also in Division E2] A synthetic plastics support clip comprises a limb defining one jaw of a resilient clamp at its end to releasably grip a roof support, a second limb defining the, or part of the, opposite jaw of the clamp at its end, and connected to or integral with, the first limb remote from the jaws, the clip having, remote from the clamp, a slot to releasably grip a transmission cable such that the roof support extends, in use, normal to the gripped cable. The jaws 2, 4 are inwardly hook shaped, one of the jaws having two parts 14 at the ends of two limbs 15 integral with the first limb 11, Fig. 5, or the jaws each comprise one limb the limbs 1, 5 joined by rivets 6, Fig. 2. The latter embodiment has one slot similar to slot 18, Fig. 5, (or two spaced slots) at an angle to the longitudinal axis, and cut at an angle to the transverse plane to the axis so that lateral separation of material on either side of the slot increases the slot width so that a cable can be inserted and subsequently gripped. The former embodiment, Fig. 5, has three such slots 18, 19, 20 as indicated.
