Abstract

J CAMPE 22 Aug 1972 39026/72 Heading A4B A shelving or like structure comprises a plurality of U-shaped structural members each having planar central 1 and side 2 walls, the latter being formed in their free edges 7, 7' with one or more cut-outs 3 disposed symmetrically with respect to the medial plane M of the member, and linking elements 4 disposed in the space defined between facing cut-outs 3 in the spaced edges 7, 8 of the co-planar side walls 2, 12 of two superposed said members. As shown the cut-outs are arcuate and extend over an angle of less than 180‹. Corresponding linking elements 4 are cylindrical and comprise a central necked portion 5 which is received between the cut-outs. Alternatively, the cutouts and linking elements may be of rectangular section.
