Abstract

134,157. Musted, G. G. March 15, 1919. Locking nuts.-A nut 1 has a split reduced portion 2 formed with a rounded head 3 which is free to move endways in a V- shaped recess 11 in a locknut 6. After the two nuts have been screwed up together, independent rotation of the nut 6 in either direction causes the split part 2 to be compressed against the bolt.
